Genzyme – “think thymo” Meeting
The biotechnology company Genzyme invited 200 leading heart surgeons from all over the world to a two-day meeting at Hof Palace. The special thing about this event was its underlying concept. As these cardiac specialists are used to the same procedure from having attended so many events of this kind, the idea was to offer the participants something different.
Instead of a luxury hotel or palais, the seminars took place in the palace’s former stables. In these unusual environs, the level of attention was much higher. Instead of gala and gourmet restaurant, the culinary accompaniment was served at a local inn on the first and with a gypsy evening on the second day.
Of course, the food was of the finest quality and adapted to satisfy the discerning tastes of the guests. Surprised by such a completely new concept, the reactions were extremely positive, which gave the otherwise formal setting a special twist to help promote socializing and networking.
